The Blue Catfish have become the most dominant predator in the Chesapeake. They are an invasive species that have more than put a dent in the crab population, out competed Striped Bass for baitfish and had a much more detrimental ecological effect than the much maligned Northern Snakehead. In this video, I show a basic and effective way to harvest the right size “eaters”, bleed them out, prepare the filets and turn this overly abundant fish into delicious jerky that really does not taste like fish at all.
