The locomotive of a derailed train was discovered 106 years after it plunged from a cliff to the bottom of Lake Superior. A team of shipwreck hunters from Minnesota and Canada found the lost Canadian Pacific Railway Locomotive No. 694 about 235 feet underwater. It was just off the coast of northern Lake Superior, near the town of Marathon in Ontario.

Three men, all from Schreiber, Ontario, died on June 9th of 1910 when the freight train crashed into a rockslide that had covered the railroad tracks. The crash sent the D10 steam locomotive, a tender car and several boxcars into the lake.
