The New NFL Overtime Rules Do NOT Solve Anything

High School Sports

I already know I am going to face an uphill battle explaining why this rule is silly. Well, we all knew this was coming and in my opinion it doesn’t make sense at all. The NFL will change its overtime rules to allow both teams to have an offensive possession, only 1 guaranteed, which really doesn’t fix any of the issues as one team will still have an extra possession to win the game and the other team will have no way to respond to that FG or TD, they will simply lose because they didn’t win the coin toss. This just extended the problem into something that is a few extra plays. This could have been done differently. Leave your thoughts down below on this long awaited rule change and if it really fixes anything and I’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP!
