The Bryan College Men’s Basketball team battled Reinhardt University on Saturday afternoon in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) showdown. It was dead even throughout the first half with Reinhardt holding a narrow lead at 36-35.
Reinhardt extended their lead to 11 midway through the second stanza, but the Lions fought back to take the lead with six minutes remaining. Bryan would go ice cold offensively and the Eagles ended the game on an 18-3 run to gain the victory 81-67. The Lions drop their second consecutive game and fall to 13-7 overall and 10-6 in the AAC.
Justin Warner recorded a new career-high of 26 points on 8-11 from the field and 6-9 from deep. Brandon Thomas tallied 15 points and 7 rebounds. Michael Cody added 13 points and 7 rebounds off the bench. Gene Holmes rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points.
The Lions will take a week off before hosting Milligan University next Saturday at 4:00PM.
