Surprising news came for the NFL, after it was announced the New England Patriots had signed quarterback Cam Newton to another deal. It had been reported the two were “parting ways” after the season ended.
According to Adam Schefter, this won’t deter the Patriots from drafting a QB or singing one in free agency. Newton’s deal is for one-year and is worth close to $14 million.
