There was only one upset in the opening round of the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament as six of the seven higher seeds collected wins on Monday. No. 9 seed Columbia International was the lone road team to score a victory, handing No. 8 seed Union an 81-64 defeat.
The No. 1 seeded Bryan College Women’s Basketball team are the prize that awaits the Rams for advancing through the Opening Round. The Lady Lions will face CIU in the Quarterfinal Round at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center and Conference Resort in Kingsport, TN on Thursday at 12:00PM.
Bryan faced CIU twice this season; on November 13th on the road and January 8th at home. Bryan secured double-digit wins in both contests and will be looking to do the same on Monday night in hopes of keeping their chase for a 5th AAC Tournament Championship in 6 years alive.
All games in Kingsport will be live-streamed on the AAC Digital Network for free.
