The Los Angeles Lakers & The Brooklyn Nets are the two clear cut favorites teams to win the NBA Title this year, before the trade deadline the Brooklyn Nets were my pick to win it all but I need to have a second look at who could winning all since the Lakers added Andre Drummond & the Brooklyn Nets added Lamarcus Aldridge. So I decided to compare the two teams which includes their Offense, Defence , Roster & last but not least team Chemistry, in my eyes the most important thing to win a championship. & right off the back let’s start with team chemistry.
The Brooklyn Nets team chemistry is still in the process they have added a lot of players that haven’t played that long together yes they have a lot of talent but this team right now is reminding me a lot of the Clippers last season even though they had the players to win it all their Team chemistry was not good enough. & we all know what happened Pandemic p made his first appearance & the Clippers blew a 3-1 Lead to the Nuggets.
On the other hand The Los Angeles Lakers have clearly the better team chemistry they still have their two best players (Lebron & AD) & almost the same team that won them The championship last season. I have to give this point to the Lakers.
Next lets look at the Rosters from both teams the Brooklyn Nets have 3 MVP candidates Kyrie Irving, James Harden & of course Kevin durant, they also have some key role players. players like Blake Griffin, Lamarcus Aldridge, deandre jordan & Joe Harris who is arguably the best 3 point shooter this season. This Roster is stacked.
The Los Angeles lakers Roster is stacked as well they have two MVP candidates Lebron James & Anthony Davis & some really good role players Dennis Schröder, Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, kentavious Caldwell-Pope, markieff Morris, Talen Horton- Tucker & Alex caruso! I feel like the Rosters are really even with each other. So I’ll say Roster wise is even!
Next lets look at the the offence the Los Angeles Lakers are a top 5 offence in the league when both ad & lebron play. They have a Offensive Rating of 112.5 but when both of them are not playing this team Offensive rating drops to 99.8 that’s bad!
On the other hand The Brooklyn Nets are the best Offensive team this season with a Offensive Rating of 117.2 that would be the best Offensive rating of all time! Which means this team is the best Offensive team in all of nbas history. So offensively the Brooklyn Nets are clearly better.
Next is defence the Brooklyn Nets defence is not that good at all their defensive rating this season is 113.4 but now that they added Lamarcus Aldridge they can get a lil better at it but not that much since Aldridge is just an average defender.
But the lakers are the best Defensive team in the league right now they have a Defensive rating of 105.8 that’s a big difference compare to the Brooklyn Nets & now that the lakers added Andre Drummond who is known for his defense more than for his offense that’s gonna help the lakers a lot on the defensive end! So I got give that point to the Lakers.
I hope that Both of these teams can stay healthy & play to their full potential because if they meet at the NBA Finals that match up has a chance to be the best series ever! Let me get out of my chest in my eyes the Brooklyn Nets will still win the Championship this season! But if the lakers can beat the Nets in the NBA Finals their can’t be an argument no more about lebron not being the GOAT! He would the undisputed goat! If the lakers beat a healthy Nets team!
