Prior to the start of the 1983 NFL season, Clarence Weathers, the brother of New England Patriots running back Robert Weathers, was constructing mini golf courses in Florida, and hadn’t played tackle football in three years. While visiting his brother, completely out of nowhere, Clarence was offered a contract by the Patriots.
