Deputy Home Minister II Datuk Jonathan Yassin told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Oct 4) that a total of 7,755 individuals were arrested over unlicensed gambling activities between Jan 1 and Aug 31.
He said the police are taking the issue of unlicensed public gambling seriously and would take note of the concerns raised by all parties to ensure that concerted efforts can be taken to address the issue more effectively.
