Bennett Christian was long considered to be a lock to Tennessee, given that his dad, Bill Christian, played for the Volunteers under Coach Johnny Majors in the 1970’s, committed to Ohio State back in September at the beginning of his junior year of high school. He’s the #348 overall player in the 2022 class, a 4-star rated as the #7 TE in the class. Measuring in at 6’6” 235 lbs, he’s known as an aggressive blocker in addition to his pass-catching skills. Despite not being permitted to visit Ohio State’s campus since March 2020 – he still committed last fall and just recently took his official visit to Columbus the weekend of June 4, 2021.
