Ham Radio Live Takes a look At one of the most rewarding parts of ham radio… Winning awards for working special locations in the world.

This show will go into a brief explanation of the “Worked All States,” “Worked All Continents” and “DXCC” awards!

It’s important to note that you can win awards for these and other categories for each frequency band and mode of operation.

For example, you could win a Worked All States award for the 20m band using Morse Code (CW), Voice, (microphone) and digital modes. These awards are available for the 160m, 80/75m, 40m, 15m, and 10m bands.

There Are a few Ham Licensees Who have concord all five bands for voice and CW. Those are “the best of the best.” They are rare, but you could do this too… All you need is a ham radio license to get started and start making contact with these locations. Your count will slowly build And before you know it, you will start earning some very special awards.

Lastly, don’t get hung up in thinking you need to have a tower and special antenna to accomplish these awards. Many have done it using simply a wire Antenna.
