Hey guys, my name’s Anna Giannoni. I’m a former college field hockey player and a CoachUp Coach. And this is the Pull Back and Change of Direction.
You want to use this move because rather than going to the left and running into the opponent’s stick, you can pull back and go to the right and completely bypass them.
What you’re gonna do is you’re gonna start with the ball in the middle of your body. You’re simply gonna dribble forward, you’re gonna stop the ball abruptly with your left hand by turning your hand over, pulling quickly back to your right leg, and then you’re gonna simply burst out to the right.
