Eight Canton McKinley high school coaches were suspended last week. A father alleges that the coaches forced his son to go against his religion and eat pork.

This was a form of punishment according to the father in the school district. The 17-year-old student missed practice due to injury then was forced to eat pepperoni pizza.

The student is of the Hebrew religious faith and hasn’t eaten pork in nearly 10 years. The say the child is now in counseling.
