Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay was the league leader for the National Football League in touchdown receptions. Golladay not only set a career mark in touchdowns (11), but he also had a career best 1,190 receiving yards for Detroit. Two NFL receivers finished with 10 touchdown receptions, while five others had nine touchdowns scored.
One of the receivers to score nine was teammate Marvin Jones, who was sent to injured reserve weeks ago
Golladay is the first player in Lions history to lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns outright since WR Cloyce Box (15) did so in 1952. Calvin Johnson broke the 11 touchdown mark in four separate seasons, but never led the league in touchdown receptions.
