In this mock draft, the Detroit Lions decided to make a trade out of the 7th pick in the 2021 NFL draft to garner more capital to help build the team via roster. MicroMike traded with the New England Patriots and recoupled draft capital for this year’s draft, NFL player, and draft capital for next year’s draft.
The Detroit Lions selected players who can help the Defense via Defensive Line, Linebacker Corp, Safety position, and Cornerback. The Lions Defense was nearly last in all categories in 2020 and Brad Holmes wanted to fix the issue. MicroMike made sure to start building this Defense the correct way.
The Lions needed help with the Offense as well. MicroMike made sure to gives some much needed help on the Offensive Line by selecting a starting Right Tackle to protect Jerad Goff and give him time to pass the football. TThe Lions also drafted a Wide Receiver to give Goff some weapons. The Lions also received a player in the trade.
