Amazon France mistakenly and briefly listed the highly-anticipated information regarding the new console on its website, before removing the price and date from the listing. Sony has already revealed what the PlayStation 5 looks like, the specs of the console and more.
According to the leak, the digital version of the console will be cheaper than the console with a disc drive. A whole €100 ($112) less. Ben Geskin was the one who stumbled upon the apparent price leak on Amazon’s French website.

In screenshots Geskin later shared on social media, Amazon listed the standard model at €499 EUR ($560) and the ‘Digital Edition’ at €399 EUR ($447).
The website, which has been updated to remove the alleged leak, also listed a release date for November 20th, 2020 in France. Despite the information having been deleted, screenshots of the page have been circulating on social media ever since.

As all information leaks do, this needs to be taken lightly. But at this point it seems to be a legitimate leak of information and the gaming and tech community are treating it as such.
Many had already speculated the target price to be around what it’s pegged at here. The Sony PlayStation 4 was $399 on release, so this price point would fit that trend as well.
