STOCKBRIDGE, Mich. | NSBNsports.com | October 17th, 2025 — Two Big 8 programs with plenty to prove clash Friday night when Sand Creek heads north to face Stockbridge. The Aggies (0-5) are still seeking their first win, while the Panthers (3-4) look to reach .500 and maintain momentum after last week’s 20-13 victory at Maple Valley.
Stockbridge enters with one of the league’s most balanced offensive profiles – averaging 135 passing yards and 133 rushing yards per game. Senior quarterback Sandecki has accounted for 15 total touchdowns, passing for 803 yards and rushing for 564 more behind a physical front anchored by Beauregard and Gross. On the perimeter, Conant has been the go-to threat with 451 yards and six scores, while fellow senior Hamlett adds versatility as both runner and receiver.

Defensively, the Panthers have forced 11 turnovers this fall and average 56 tackles per game, but their secondary has been the true difference-maker. Hamlett and Sandecki have combined for four interceptions, and the unit will aim to pressure the quarterback early after posting its lone sack of the season last week.
For Sand Creek, the challenge is establishing rhythm on offense. The Aggies average just 71 rushing yards and 33 passing yards per game but have shown flashes – particularly in a 58-26 loss to Quincy, when they topped 300 total yards. Their defense has struggled to get off the field, allowing more than 36 points per contest, though linebacker pursuit and a bend-don’t-break approach have kept games close through the first half in several outings.

The outcome will likely hinge on turnover margin, red-zone finishing, and line play. If Stockbridge can protect Sandecki and continue its 4.9 yards-per-carry average, the Panthers’ offense should control tempo. For Sand Creek, limiting explosive plays and forcing long drives could keep the contest tight into the fourth quarter.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Stockbridge High School, where the Panthers will try to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Tickets will be available at the gate and can be purchased with cash or card.
