The Los Angeles Rams believe they have their man in Matthew Stafford. But they may have tried to trade for a rival signal caller first. The Rams traded for Lions QB Matt Stafford yesterday.
LA gave two first round picks and a third rounder along with quarterback Jared Goff for the veteran. But according to LA Times’ Farmer, the team made a run at Aaron Rodgers before going after Stafford.
The 37-year old, coming off his likely-MVP season, and near trip to another Super Bowl, was simply to valuable to be nabbed via trade. Here’s our source below:
