The East Hamilton Hurricane Basketball programs split a pair with the Soddy Daisy Trojans last night. Soddy Daisy was in the driver’s seat for a commanding win in game one, with a final score of 52-38. The Hurricanes came out flat in the first half. The Trojans’ defense was tight throughout the course of the contest.
They pulled away early and were able to preserve their lead. The Hurricanes struggled to find their rhythm on offense and were unable to mount a comeback. Despite the loss, the Hurricanes can take away some positives from the game, such as solid performances from certain players and some good defensive plays. They will look to bounce back and learn from this game as they prepare to host the Red Bank Lions on Friday evening.
The East Hamilton Hurricanes Boys Basketball team put on a dominant performance last night as they defeated the Soddy Daisy Trojans with a final score of 79-51. The Hurricanes came out with a strong game plan and executed it to perfection on both ends of the floor. The defense was relentless, constantly pressuring the Trojans and causing turnovers.
On the offensive end, the Hurricanes moved the ball well and found open shots, with multiple players stepping up and scoring in double figures. Ashton Munson scored 24 points and Kaden Herman scored 23 points. The Trojans tried to make a comeback in the second half, but it just wasn’t enough. Shaun Pangle scored 10 points, Chad Eller scored 9 points, and Jonathan Love scored 9 points.
The final buzzer sounded with East Hamilton High School students and fans celebrating a well-deserved victory. The Hurricanes will look to continue what is now an eight game winning streak on Friday as they play host to the Red Bank Lions. You can watch the game on the CW, as Chris Goforth has the call.
