The Detroit Lions are reportedly hiring Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs coach Cory Undlin to be their new defensive coordinator. ESPN was the first to report the news on Monday.
48-year-old Undlin replaces Paul Pasqualoni as the team’s defensive coordinator. Undlin spent the last five years with the Eagles.
Detroit finished 31st in total defense this season. They allowed their most yards (400.4 per game) since their winless season of 2008.
Undlin was a big fan of Jalen Mills, who is a free agent. Wouldnโt be surprised to see Undlin try to bring Mills to Detroit with him. #Eagles https://t.co/dZoEPCtTV4
