Chattanooga Central and Soddy Daisy Win AAA District 6 Consolation Games

The Purple Pounders of Chattanooga Central overcame the Pioneers of East Ridge in double OT during the 6-AAA boys’ consolation game last night. The Pounders now rise to 10-18 overall on the season.

East Ridge, who falls to 18-11, was led by Tyree Smith. Smith finished with 21 total points. Cadion Harris added another 19 points, and Devon Anderson added 16 for the Pioneers.

Matthew Sharpe led the way for Chattanooga Central, as he poured it in from all across the floor. Sharpe finished with 23 total points. DJ Sanderfer also added another 16 points.

Soddy Daisy won the girls consolation game. The Trojans bested the Pioneers of East Ridge 68-31 in game number one of the evening of play.

Soddy Daisy improved their overall record on the season to 20-12, as they were fueled by the prolific offensive effort of Alivia Hall. With 20 total points, she led the way for Soddy.

Nia Barnes was the leading scorer for East Ridge with 10 total points. Hannah Patterson added another 13 points for the Trojans in the victory.
